Supporting Wounded Warriors

American Legion and Old Dominion Boat Club lead  fundraiser.

The Sons of the American Legion of Alexandria and Leesburg sponsored a fundraiser at the Old Dominion Boat Club on Nov. 6. The money raised from donations, a silent auction and raffle sales will support Explosive Ordnance Disposal technicians in the U.S. military who have been wounded or injured in combat or combat support operations. The specialty is one of the most dangerous occupations in the military.

The Boat Club annually opens its doors to the public and joins with the American Legion and the EOD Warrior Foundation to raise money for this worthy cause. Last year’s event raised $100,000.
