New trail markers will catch the eye of park visitors hiking along the Woodmarsh Trail in Mason Neck Park thanks to the efforts of Mount Vernon area Boy Scout Noah Ventura, who took on the project for his Eagle Scout badge. Noah enlisted help from other Girl and Boy Scouts from Carl Sandburg Middle School and Fort Hunt Elementary School, along with Rosalind Wu, visitor services manager of the Potomac River National Wildlife Refuge Complex. Noah spent over 300 hours in almost 10 months on the design and placement of the markers.
