The Mount Vernon Evening Lions named the winners of the Lions International Peace poster contest from Mount Eagle Elementary School. First prize went to Norah R. Nijbroek. A tie for second place went to Estefani Lovo Rivera and Manavi Kumar. The theme for this year's contest was Celebrate Peace. Norah's poster will compete in the 24-A District in December. This contest is offered to sixth and seventh graders in more than 200 countries. The international winner will receive a prize of $2,500 and a trip to the United Nations where the prize is presented.
